Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy

Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) helps you explore the emotional injuries beneath these patterns—so you can begin to make sense of your story, connect with your core needs, and build a deeper, more compassionate relationship with yourself.

What is EFIT?

EFIT (Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy) is rooted in attachment science and helps you explore the emotional wounds, unmet needs, and protective strategies that shape your current experience.


It’s an experiential, emotion-focused process that supports you in:

  • Making sense of how you came to feel the way you do
     
  • Accessing and processing core emotions that have been avoided or buried
     
  • Reclaiming your emotional truth with compassion and clarity
     
  • Moving toward greater connection—with yourself and others
     

Rather than just talking about change, EFIT helps you experience it—through safe, attuned, emotionally corrective moments in therapy.

In our work together, we’ll explore:

  • The emotional injuries and attachment experiences that shaped you
     
  • The survival strategies you developed to stay safe and connected
     
  • The unmet needs beneath perfectionism, people-pleasing, anxiety, or self-doubt
     
  • A deeper, more integrated sense of who you are and what you need
